Description

The only base oil used in this all-natural shampoo bar is coconut oil. It thoroughly cleans the hair, then adds back moisture by leaving a little coconut oil behind. Those who use shampoo bars regularly love this peppermint and rosemary formula, which leaves your scalp tingly clean. The lather on this bar is incredible!

Important notes about shampoo bars:

1. Solid shampoo bars function best when used with SOFT water. If you have hard water, the soap molecules will "grab" the minerals in the hard water and leave waxy deposits in your hair. To help combat this, we recommend using a vinegar rinse. This will help balance scalp pH and remove build up.

2. If this is your first time ever using a shampoo bar, there will be a break-in period…particularly if you have long hair. As your hair detoxes and acclimates to a detergent-less shampoo, it might look funky for a little bit. This frustrates some folks, but if you hold in there for a couple of weeks, it WILL complete the detox and become soft and silky. The benefits of a chemical and plastic-free shampoo will be worth the pain in the ass of the break-in period. Tough it out!

Ingredients: Coconut oil, aloe juice, sodium hydroxide (lye), pure essential oils.

Note: I hand make each of these suckers in small batches…well, in batches of 90 bars…so colors may vary slightly from batch to batch. Please allow 1-3 business days for processing and production.

I could not believe how much this bar lathered with I used it on my hair! smells amazing and my hair feels super clean. I often lose hair when I wash it but lost very little this time! It left my hair feeling a little stripped so I definitely needed my conditioner afterwards.

Most of y’all probably know that we also own GameMakers, and we have suffered a major loss this week. Mandi has been our manager at GameMakers for a long time, but when she started with us 5 years ago, she started as a maker at Soap Stop and spent many hours in the store as well. She quickly moved into management and has been in charge of GameMakers since before our big move to the new location last winter.

Mandi is irreplaceable as a friend, as a manager, and as a member of this company, and because we all work extremely close together, both in proximity and as friends, the loss of one of our own strikes the very heart of our organization. We all have agreed to saddle up and get back to work, but we’re all hurting, so please treat our crew gently in our places this week...especially Mandi’s group at GameMakers.

Michelle, Grant, and I will be at Soap as usual this week, and you can still be smartasses to us…we may just be quicker to tell you to fuck off. 🤣

All of our love to Mandi’s other friends and family. See you on the flip side Kiddo. ❤️We are heartbroken to report that we have lost our Mandi. Mandi was the manager at Gamemakers--a massively intelligent and powerful woman who took care of everyone and everything.

Mandi loved animals, books, dragons, books about dragons, her family and many friends, motorcycles, the KC Chiefs and "Baby Girl," her Jeep. That damn Jeep. Baby Girl spent most of her time broken down somewhere but Mandi kept Baby Girl running to visit family, to improve her dog training skills and to work on yet another advanced college degree.

At work, we called Mandi "Lawful Evil" because she was basically unbeatable at every game we played at Compulsory Merriment. Mandi's advice when we whined about it? "Read the rules." Mandi was not a fan of cooperative games but, if there was a competition involved, nobody really had to wonder who was going to win.

Mandi's loss leaves a hole in so many hearts! She is irreplaceable.

We're not at the top of our game at Gamemakers right now. There may be a few closed days, or short days, here and there. We'll get back to some kind of normal as soon as possible. Meanwhile, thank you for your understanding.
